The Qwiic IR Thermometer uses the MLX90614 temperature sensor to measure ambient and object temperature without physical contact.
The SparkFun MLX90614 Arduino Library makes it easy to get temperature readings, with the ability to set the desired temperature unit and call the read() function.
The I2C address of the MLX90614 can be changed in software, allowing multiple sensors to be used on one I2C bus.
The board features a thermal and electrical isolator to maximize accuracy.
It is Qwiic compatible, meaning no soldering, figuring out SDA or SCL, or voltage regulation or translation is required. Simply plug and go.
